A local firm is being recommended to do a major renovation on the Belleville council chamber.
It has been generally felt the chamber as it sits is too cramped.
The renovations would increase seating, create wider paths for accessibility, and include upgraded technology.
The lowest tender of seven, from Tom Belch and Sons Building Contractors, of close to $236,000 is being recommended for council’s acceptance by city staff.
Belleville council meets Monday afternoon.
