With many people unsure about whether or not they’ll take their kids out trick-or-treating during the pandemic, many are turning towards public health officials for advice.
Federal and provincial officials have already said that trick-or-treating should not happen in COVID-19 hot spots like Toronto and Ottawa, but have suggested those outside of the most affected areas should take guidance from their local public health staff.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health Spokesperson Maureen Hyland tells our newsroom that Medical Officer of Health Dr. Piotr Oglaza will be issuing a statement on local Halloween activities by this Friday.
