Driving While Suspended
On October 17, 2020 around 7 p.m., police came upon an SUV that had a tail light out in the east end. When the officer activated his emergency lights to attempt to stop the vehicle, it took off speeding. The vehicle was tracked down a short time later and officers learned that the driver was suspended. A 30-year-old man from Tyendinaga was charged for driving while suspended under the highway traffic act. He was released with a court date of November 2, 2020.
Mischief
On October 18, 2020 at 2:45 a.m., police were called to a west end business for a report of broken glass. Police noticed that the glass at the front of the business was smashed out. The business was later secured and the investigation into the responsible person(s) is ongoing.
