One person has been arrested and charged after a fire south of Rice Lake.
OPP, Alnwick-Haldimand Township Fire Department and Northumberland paramedics were at a residential fire on September 24 around 3:15 p.m. One person who escaped the fire was transported to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
OPP investigated further and have arrested and charged a 25-year-old from Alnwick-Haldimand Township with arson, uttering threats and resisting a peace officer.
The person will appear in court in Cobourg in November.
