Belleville police officers dealt with a very angry woman late yesterday afternoon (Monday).
Police responded to a west end townhouse complex where a woman was reported to be smashing windows and trying to burn the complex down.
When officers approached the suspect she kicked one of them in the groin and then tried to remove an officer’s sidearm from its holster.
She was unsuccessful, brought under control, and arrested.
A 39-year-old Belleville resident was charged with mischief, assaulting police, attempting to disarm an officer and assaulting an officer.
She appears in court today (Tuesday).
