Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting two new COVID-19 cases in our area over the weekend.
The health unit released a PDF update today, since it’s experiencing technical issues with the COVID-19 dashboard and shows that one new case was discovered on Friday and the other on Saturday.
The Friday case was transmitted through close contact and the Saturday case by local spread, with today’s update showing three active cases in the area and six recoveries over the past two weeks.
We’ll have more on the numbers from HPE throughout the day.
Meanwhile, the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit is reporting that all active cases in Northumberland County have been cleared.
Across Ontario, the Provincial Government is reporting a total of 1,553 new cases over the past two days – 746 today and 807 on Monday.
