The unemployment rate in our part of the province has again followed the national and provincial trends.
Today (Friday) Statistics Canada announced that the national unemployment rate had dropped to 9% last month from 10.2% in August.
The Ontario rate in September was 9.5% down from 10.6% in August.
In the Kingston-Pembroke economic region which includes the Quinte area the unemployment rate dropped to 9.3% from 10.1 the month before.
