An inmate at Millhaven institution has died in custody.
Officials at the Kingston prison say Edward Schwartz died “of apparent natural causes” on Thursday.
He had been serving a life sentence for multiple charges including non-capital murder and aggravated assault, and had been in custody since 1973.
The Correctional Service of Canada will be looking into the death, as it does in all cases of an inmate dying in custody.
