Belleville city council will have Christmas on its mind when it meets after the Thanksgiving long weekend.
Council will see a request and report from the Chamber of Commerce asking for approval of a “drive-by”
Santa Claus parade.
The usual parade can’t be held this year as it draws crowds of people who would be breaking COVID-19 pandemic distancing regulations.
The Chamber is proposing a one way route for drivers through an area at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre to view the various static holiday displays.
If council approves, the drive-by Santa Claus parade would be held Sunday November 22 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
