A member of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle that was being operated by a suspended driver on Towerhill Road at approximately 4:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
The officer followed the vehicle to a nearby parking lot and was able to arrest the driver with the assistance of a bystander.
Illicit drugs were also located in the vehicle.
Robert Calderone (age 50) of Napanee, Ontario is charged with:
· Possession of a Schedule I substance-cocaine
· Driving while under suspension
· Resist peace officer
