The federal government is providing significant financial support to build an archives and museum facility in Northumberland County.
Northumberland will receive over $432,000 to build the museum and archives which will be part of the new Golden Plough Lodge Long Term Care Home in Cobourg.
The Golden Plough Lodge and Northumberland County Archives & Museum is expected to open early in 2023.
The federal grant comes through the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund.
