Lack of significant rainfall has put the area in the lower than normal water level situation.
Quinte Conservation Manager Brad McNevin tells Quinte News he’s still hearing about people in many areas with low water in their wells.
“We’re still hearing about people having to haul water to replenish their water supplies in their houses.”
He says it’s also an environmental concern for fish and wildlife.
Meanwhile, over the next month, Quinte Conservation will be lowering the river dams for the winter season.
