A detailed report on the future of development and lifestyle in the City of Belleville is now ready for residents to see and comment on.
A consultant’s draft report on an updated Community Improvement Plan is up on the city’s website.
The draft plan updates existing CIPs involving the Downtown District and Brownfield sites (abandoned, vacant, or under-utilized properties that may or may not be contaminated) and combines them with a new plan to create affordable housing.
The CIP offers 17 different programs whereby the municipality provides incentives for future development.
A virtual public meeting on the draft plan is scheduled for November 2.
