Belleville city police are asking for the public’s help to solve some recent thefts from four businesses in the city.
In one example police say a suspect entered through a rear door of a Downtown District business which was propped open at the time.
A backpack was stolen that contained prescription drugs, a wallet with a large amount of cash and identification.
Police say there were three other similar thefts in other parts of the city yesterday (Sunday).
