On September 30, 2020 members of Project Renewal (A Joint Forces Operation between Belleville Police Service Drugs and Intelligence Unit and Ontario Provincial Police – Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau) with assistance of the Belleville Police Service Emergency Response Team and K-9 Unit executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at a north end Belleville residence
During the arrest and inside the residence, police located two prohibited firearms, a quantity of ammunition along with an over capacity magazine, 2.6 grams of cocaine and a quantity of Canadian currency.
A 35-year-old Belleville resident, Jeffrey Rowe, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
1. Careless Storage of a Firearm
2. Careless Storage of a Firearm
3. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
4. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
5. Possession of Prohibited Ammunition
6. Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition Available
7. Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
8. Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
9. Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
10. Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine)
Jeffrey Rowe was held in custody pending a Show Cause Hearing on October 1, 2020.
