Prince Edward County is joining Belleville and Quinte West in transitioning its waste collection services to E360 Solutions.
The bright yellow trucks have been picking up waste from the curbside since late this summer and will start doing the same in The County as of October 1.
PEC’s Director of Operations Adam Goheen says the move will improve service and make waste collection more cost effective.
E360 will be using two trucks on its routes for the first few weeks, but should be down to one truck on its routes by the middle of November.
There will be no change to the collection schedule and residents are reminded that they may place a maximum of two tagged bags of garbage a week.
Bags and green bins must be put at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on collection day.
