A prominent charitable foundation has singled out a training and employment program 0ffered by the Quinte Economic Development Commission and Loyalist College.
The Metcalf Foundation is a Toronto-based organization whose mission is to enhance the effectiveness of people and organizations to help build a just, healthy, and creative society.
In a new report on workplace development practices, the Foundation praises the success of the Elevate Plus – Manufacturing training program along with three others for bringing job seekers and jobs together.
So far, Elevate Plus – Manufacturing has helped almost 200 people find work with area manufacturers.
