Domestic Assault
On September 12, 2020 at 3 a.m., police responded to a call for service in relation to a domestic in the city’s west end. Police investigation led to the arrest of a 31-year-old Belleville male who was held in custody after appearing before a Justice of the Peace via video remand. He was remanded to September 14 to appear at a show cause hearing in Belleville on one count of assault. His name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
