A major late summer event at one of Belleville’s biggest retirement homes will be a bit different this year.
The Quinte Gardens Retirement Residence usually holds a big corn roast for residents and their family and friends but the COVID-19 pandemic has forced a rethink on the event.
So, this afternoon (Thursday), instead of a typical outdoor gathering, the Quinte Gardens Friends and Family Barbecue will be a drive-thru event.
Not to worry, with support from Lakeshore Farms, great food will still be served up with local corn, along with hamburgers and salad.
The barbecue runs from 4 until 7 today.
