There was panic in the south end of Belleville early Wednesday evening.
At 6 p.m. city police received a call from a frantic mother whose seven year-old son had gone missing.
The boy was supposed to be returning from his grandmother’s house nearby on his scooter but didn’t get home on time.
Several police officers searched the area and the family’s residence and, happily, 45 minutes later the boy and his scooter were located just one block away.
