A well known local administrator will fill the role of Interim Executive Director for the Quinte Humane Society in a couple of weeks time.
Chair of the Society’s Board of Directors Donna Endicott announced that Marilyn Lawrie will take the position on a part-time basis starting September 21.
Lawrie is currently working with the Stirling Festival Theatre and will work halftime for the Humane Society.
The Society’s previous Executive Director Frank Rockett left the job recently. A search for a permanent replacement continues.
Lawrie has also served in management positions with the Quinte Ballet School of Canada, the Quinte Symphony, and the Belleville Downtown Improvement Area, among other organizations.
