Construction in Prince Edward County is booming.
Last month there were 109 permits issued for a construction value of $14.9 million.
This is double the construction value seen in July by the municipality.
In comparison to August 2019, there were only 98 permits issued with a construction value of $10.2 million.
So far this year there have been 514 permits issued for a value of $64.3 million.
The majority of those permits are new home construction, 23 permits, for a value of $11.05 million and three industrial commercial permits with a value of $1.5 million.
