Eightenn-year-old Chloe Choinard of Frankford has a new skating partner and will compete for a new country.
The Belleville born Choinard has teamed up with 22-year-old Livio Mayr of Austria, the country they will represent on the world stage.
They are currently training in Oakville. Choinard and Mayr partnered up just before COVID-19 which has curtailed most of their training.
Last year Choinard and then partner Mathieu Ostiguy of Granby Quebec won the Canadian Junior Pairs Figure Skating Championship. They also represented Canada on the international junior grand prix circuit.
Choinard is a graduate of the Stirling Figure Skating Club.
