The westbound lanes of the 401 were closed for a few hours last night (Tuesday) after a vehicle fell apart.
Lennox and Addington OPP were called to the major highway just west of County Road 6 around 10:30 p.m. for a report of a motor vehicle collision.
An investigation revealed a pickup truck towing a camper trailer had a mechanical failure and broke into pieces across all four lanes of the highway.
There were no injuries but the road was closed to allow for debris clean up.
The highway is now open and an investigation is ongoing.
