The competition wasn’t held the way it usually is because of the COVID-19 pandemic but the annual Ontario Wine Awards were still held this year and a Prince Edward County winemaker took home one of the four main awards.
At a small socially distanced gathering in a Niagara region vineyard recently Dan Sullivan of Rosehall Run vineyards accepted the Allen Red Wine of the Year Award for its JCR Rosehall Run Pinot Noir 2018.
The other three awards went to Niagara region vineyards.
