Cobourg Police are investigating a case of fraud in which it is alleged an employee stole $75,000 from a company over the past year.
The accused person, 54-year-old Brenda Compeau of Cobourg, was arrested Monday and charged with fraud over $5,000.
Compeau was released from custody on an undertaking with strict conditions.
A court date has been set in October.
