The Joint Rescue Coordinator Centre says around 1 a.m. JRCC received a call from North Bay OPP for assistance of 424 Squadron to rescue a boater who was stranded on a shore of a river near Thistle Lake.
A Griffon helicopter and search and rescue technicians arrived at 4 a.m. and found the stranded boater in good condition. found the boater stranded at the bottom of rapids.
