A familiar face in local firefighting is the new deputy fire chief in Quinte West.
Rick Caddick has been announced as the deputy to Chief John Whelan and joins the Quinte West Fire Department after leaving the Brighton Fire Department as chief.
Quinte West Chief John Whelan says they received more than 30 applications and Caddick’s 20 years of firefighting experience made him stand out.
During his career, Caddick has spent a decade in senior leadership roles, including a stint as chief in Stirling-Rawdon as well.
Caddick officially starts his new role on September 8, 2020.
