Thirteen new bus shelters will be going up across Belleville.
Council approved a contract Monday night for Daytech Limited of Etobicoke to install the new shelters, which will have solar-powered LED lights with bench seating.
Five of them will include advertising space, which city staff estimate could generate up to $500 per month in revenues.
The shelters will cost the city just under $77,500, which is below the $80,000 that was budgeted for the project.
They are expected to be completed by October 31, 2020.
