It’s only been two weeks since the Docs By The Bay recruitment program added an eighth family doctor to its roster and a ninth has been signed today.
Dr. Mary-Kathryn Blackbyrne has signed a medical services agreement and will begin practising in the area in 2021.
Dr. Blackbyrne few up in Toronto and studied at Queen’s University and earned a masters in epidemiology, before working with Public Health Ontario.
She then went overseas and got her medical degree at University College Dublin in Ireland, then spent an internship year at Beaumont Hospital there, before coming back to Toronto to do her residency.
More details on Dr. Blackbyrne’s practice location and patient additions will be available later this year.
