The civic holiday long weekend proved to be a busy one for Northumberland OPP.
Officers responded to 348 calls for service over the weekend, along with traffic enforcement, boat patrols and numerous other checks around the community.
Close to 90 charges were laid over the weekend, including 66 for speeding, one for street racing and two for impaired driving.
Officers also checked 45 marine vessels and issued one violation notice and they checked 14 off-road vehicles, with no violations.

- Careless Driving – 1
- Moving violations – 6

- Impaired driving charges – 2
- Other Highway Traffic Act violations – 6
