Council in Prince Edward County has changed their mind when it comes to a two hour parking by-law in the village of Bloomfield.
Councillor Phil Prinzen made the request during a council meeting on Tuesday night at Highline Hall in Wellington to have the parking limit rescinded until a parking study can be completed.
He said the Bloomfield and Area Business Association (BABA) spearheaded the change because visitors are finding it hard to visit local shops and have a bite to eat because of the length of time it now takes to browse and shop because of COVID-19 regulations.
Prinzen also said the parking restrictions go all the way to the corner of Sandbanks, meaning residents are unable to have family and friends stay for more than two hours if parked on the street.
The motion was passed.
