Canadian Armed Forces personnel, including some from CFB Trenton, have wrapped up an international support mission with the United Nations.
Between July 23 and July 31, Canadian military members dropped off more than 82,500 kilograms of COVID-19 related supplies to countries in the Caribbean including Honduras, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Guatemala and Barbados.
Crews had been based out of Panama and spent close to 40 hours in the air, aboard a 429 Squadron CC-177 Globemaster, making those deliveries.
Operation GLOBE drop-offs were made in conjunction with the World Food Programme and the World Health Organization, as requested by the UN.
