The Trenton Splash Pad is closed until further notice.
The City of Quinte West tweeted early this morning the splash pad was vandalized sometime overnight on Sunday.
Staff and a resident called in the vandalism this morning to the city.
Park staff are working to determine how extensive the damage is and if parts will need to be ordered.
Community Engagement Officer Hannah Brown says they believe what happened is when the water didn’t turn on, someone pried open the machinery and started pulling out wires.
The city is hoping the splash pad will be back up and running today but will keep people updated via social media.
