With the hot weather here to stay and local beaches finally open people are taking the opportunity to get out as the province eases its COVID-19 restrictions.
Both Sandbanks Provincial Park and North Beach Provincial Park beaches hit capacity and closed Saturday afternoon. Wellington beach also hit capacity and closed.
Prince Edward County announced Sunday that hours will be restricted for Wellington beach moving forward. The beach will close at noon or earlier if it hits capacity before then.
Hot temperatures in excess of 25 Celsius with humid conditions are expected to persist throughout the week as the Quinte area is under a heat warning.
