The Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre will be open for those needing to get in out of the heat.
The City of Belleville has activated the cooling centre for today (July 15) and tomorrow (Thursday, July 16) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Visitors are asked to enter the cooling centre through the doors facing Cannifton Road.
Extra precautions are in place including:
- masks or face coverings are required (one will be provided if needed)
- security and staff are on site
- visitors are screened and asked to sign in upon entry
- physical distancing is in place
- washrooms are available and cleaned hourly
