A proposal to build 100 seasonal dwellings next to the Oak Hills Golf Club is not sitting well with City of Quinte West planning department staff.
At its meeting Thursday the city’s Planning Advisory Committee will see a staff report recommending it reject the planned development.
Basically, it’s believed the development, to be set up in a condominium agreement, does not fit in with the rural nature of the area and doesn’t meet the intent of the city’s Official Plan.
Several residents had objections to the proposal, especially its effects on water quality and quantity.
