Lennox and Addington OPP have charged a 34-year-old Pickering man after a collision caused his vehicle to go up in flames on the 401 on the weekend.
Police say around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, officers were notified of a collision just west of Shannonville where a Volkswagen Jetta drove into the back of another vehicle.
The vehicle then came to rest against the median and caught fire.
The Belleville Fire Department was called to extinguish the blaze.
Bradley W. McIntosh is charged with impaired operation by alcohol and drugs, dangerous operation, refusal to comply with a demand, resisting police, assaulting police and uttering threats to cause harm.
His licence was suspended for 90 days and he will appear in Napanee court in September.
