Members of Prince Edward County’s Heritage Advisory Committee will be anxiously awaiting an update on the future of two heritage properties located in Sandbanks Provincial Park.
Mayor Steve Ferguson is expected to deliver an update today regarding the status of the MacDonald and Hyatt (Gray) homes, both of which were built in the later 1800s.
As part of the latest Sandbanks park management plan the two houses were slated for demolition sometime this year.
The committee and county council both hope that instead they can be fixed up and repurposed.
The Heritage Advisory Committee meets virtually in a ZOOM meeting at 9:30 this morning.
