The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre has ended a search for a missing sailor on Lake Ontario.
424 Squadron search and rescue technicians and aircraft were involved in the search near Whitby after a sailboat was found adrift Thursday morning.
Crews searched over 3,000 square kms and spent 90 hours searching from the air and water.
The case is now being turned over to police as a missing person case.
Three aircraft from RCAF and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Niagara, eight vessels from the Canadian Coast Guard and the Toronto Police Service were involved in the search.
