It appears the virtual Walk To End ALS brought in some big dollars.
Over the weekend supporters walked on their own, and raised dollars for research and care for those with the disease.
Nationally close to $1 million will be raised, while locally they surpassed their goal.
Evelyn Wilson of Carrying Place walked for her father-in-law and she says the 19th annual walk brought in well over $11,000, surpassing the $10,000 local goal. Wilson says they are also still waiting for more money to come in.
The walk was done online this year due to the pandemic.
