UPDATE: Highway 2 open again after morning crash

Update @ 4:30 p.m.:

A section of Highway 2 in east end Belleville is open after a lengthy closure due to a two-car crash this morning.

Highway 2 is open at Mitchell Road again, where a delivery truck and another vehicle were involved in a crash around 10:25 a.m.

Police say there were injuries to people involved in the crash, but the extent of those injuries and further details as to what happened haven’t been released.

While the road is open again, the cause of the crash is still being investigated.

UPDATE AT 12:45 P.M.

Belleville Police have shut down a section of road in east end Belleville following a collision earlier Monday.

Hwy. 2 between Point Anne and Burns Road and Mitchell Road from Airport Parkway to Hwy. 2 are closed due to an accident investigation.

Around 10:25 a.m., police, paramedics and Belleville firefighters were called to a two vehicle collision on Hwy. 2 at Mitchell Road.

An express truck and another vehicle collided sending one vehicle into the ditch.

Injuries were reported.

Traffic was slow going in east end Belleville late this morning.

Around 10:25 a.m., police, paramedics and Belleville firefighters were called to a two vehicle collision on Hwy. 2 at Mitchell Road.

An express truck and another vehicle collided sending one vehicle into the ditch.

Injuries were reported.
