The reasons are unknown but it seems a proposed marijuana growing facility planned for Quinte West won’t be moving ahead.
At its virtual meeting tonight (6:30) council will see a staff recommendation that it buy back five acres of land that a company known as Quinte Grow Corporation had bought in September of last year in the Northeast Industrial Park in Trenton.
The company isn’t going to build and the staff recommends council buy the property from the company for $175,000 minus any expenses incurred by the city in the matter.
