Northumberland OPP say a Quinte West resident will remain in custody until his bail hearing following a break and enter last fall.
Police were called to the Brighton Canada Post office on September 22 where several coins valued at over $730 had been stolen.
The investigation by the Community Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Central Region Forensic Identification Services and Belleville Forensic Identification Services led to 24-year-old Zachary Vautour being arrested and charged.
He is facing charges of break and enter to commit an indictable offence, theft and mischief under $5,000 and failure to comply with a probation order.
