Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway 7 in Norwood at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020.
The driver fled but officers were able to establish his identity.
The driver was located at a residence in Clarington.
Glen Young (age 38) of Toronto, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
· Flight from peace officer
· Operation while prohibited-six counts
· Dangerous operation
· Fail to comply with probation order
· Race a motor vehicle-excessive speed
· Driving while under suspension
· Obstruct plate
· Drive without proper rear light-motor vehicle
· Improper number plate light
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on August 27, 2020.
