The Water Department will be working to conduct emergency system repairs on a leak within the Ameliasburgh Water Treatment Plant.
- Repairs will begin at approximately 3 p.m. on June 12, with an expected completion time of 5 p.m. the same day.
- Customers are asked to avoid unnecessary use of tap water where possible while repairs are underway.
- These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, all customers connected to the Amelisaburgh Drinking Water System may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations or temporary loss of service and coloured water while repairs are taking place. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
- If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once repairs are complete.
