Countless numbers of people, young and old, have enjoyed a stroll in a vibrant natural setting along Presqu’ile Park’s Marsh Boardwalk over the years.
However high water levels in recent times in the wetlands the boardwalk meanders through have left it damaged and unable to be used.
It is closed until repairs can be made.
The Friends of Presqu’ile Park have started a fundraiser known as Raise the Boardwalk. The campaign runs through the month of June in conjunction with the Great Canadian Challenge sponsored by Canada Helps.
This means that every dollar raised for the boardwalk will become an entry in a draw for the grand prize of $20,000.
