Belleville Police responded to 61 calls for service between June 7, 2020 at 5 a.m. and June 8, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Arrest on warrants
On June 8, 2020 at 3:15 a.m., officers received a call about a suspicious person in the area of Gordon St. They observed a female walking with a male. The female was known to the officers and a record check indicated that the female was wanted for breach of probation. Ashley Whiteside a 35-year-old Belleville female was arrested and held for a bail hearing on June 8, 2020.
Motor Vehicle Collision
On June 7, 2020 at 11 p.m., officers attended Highway 2 at Mitchell Rd. in regards to a vehicle in the ditch. Officers spoke to the female driver who indicated that she had been westbound on Highway 2, hit the shoulder, lost control and ended up in the ditch. The 25-year-old Belleville resident suffered minor injuries. Charges are pending after further investigation.
