Quinte West OPP have identified the victim of a fatal crash on Foxboro-Stirling Road last night.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, near Fish and Game Club Road around 11:30 p.m., where two cars were involved in the head-on crash.
Investigators say 34-year-old Shannon Hider of Belleville was pronounced dead at the scene, with a passenger in the car taken to hospital with life threatening injuries, but there has been no update on their condition.
The driver of the other car was released from hospital with minor injuries.
The roadway was closed for about eight hours, but has since been reopened and police say the investigation into the crash is continuing.
