Belleville city council will be deciding whether or not to go ahead with some major upgrades in a couple of areas at its virtual meeting Monday.
City staff is recommending the low bid from Taggart Construction be accepted for a rework of stretches of Avondale and Holmes roads in the west end.
Taggart’s bid on the work totalled $5.73 million plus tax.
Meanwhile, staff is recommending the low tender from Fitzgibbon Construction of $985,000 to complete road, sidewalk, and active transportation trails on parts of Adam Street and University Avenue in the North East Industrial Park.
Each of the two projects had five tenders submitted.
